- Clothes travel in the bags you already own. No point paying for cartons to carry what a rucksack and two duffels hold.
- The kitchen carton is the only fragile one — plates and the induction cooktop get wrapped; everything else is soft.
- Mattress gets shrink-wrapped, especially June to September — a monsoon-soaked mattress never really recovers.
- The cycle goes as-is — handlebars turned, pedals in if the crew has a spanner, which they do.
